Visitors are unlimited on all plans; Segmently never pauses your experiments or blocks new visitors due to traffic volume. Plans are differentiated by how many active experiments you can run, how many projects you can create, how long your analytics data is retained, which analytics and reporting tools you can access, whether you can schedule experiments, whether you can use multi-page funnel goals, and which third-party integrations are available. Upgrading unlocks more simultaneous experiments, deeper analytics, integrations like Slack, and at the Enterprise tier, GA4 and Mixpanel, and features like scheduled experiment start/stop.
Yes! You have complete flexibility to upgrade or downgrade your subscription at any time. When you upgrade, the change takes effect immediately and you'll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your billing cycle. If you downgrade, the change will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle, and you'll continue to enjoy your current plan's features until then. Your data, experiments, and configurations are preserved during plan changes. If you need to switch between different tiers mid-cycle, our support team can help facilitate the transition smoothly.
We accept all major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover for our standard plans. Enterprise and custom plan customers have additional payment options including ACH bank transfers, wire transfers, and purchase orders for annual contracts. All payments are processed securely through Stripe, and we're PCI DSS compliant. For customers requiring invoice-based billing rather than automatic charges, this option is available on Business tier and above. International customers can pay in their local currency, and we handle all currency conversions automatically.

Our support levels scale with your plan to ensure you get the help you need. Free tier users have access to our comprehensive documentation, video tutorials, and community forums. Professional and Business tiers include email support with response times of 48 hours and 24 hours respectively, plus access to our knowledge base and live chat during business hours. Enterprise customers receive priority support with a dedicated account manager, 4-hour response time guarantee, phone support, and quarterly business reviews. All paid plans include onboarding assistance, and we offer additional professional services for custom integrations and advanced implementation.
Absolutely! Each project in your account corresponds to a unique website or application. You can run experiments across all your projects simultaneously, and each project gets its own API key for tracking. The Free and Professional tiers include 1 project, Business includes 1 project (with additional projects purchasable via credits), and Enterprise offers unlimited projects. Each project maintains separate analytics, experiment configurations, and visitor tracking. You can organize projects by brand, product line, or any structure that makes sense for your business. Team permissions can be configured per-project for granular access control.
Data retention varies by tier: Free accounts retain experiment data for 3 days, Professional for 1 week (7 days), Business for 1 month (30 days), and Enterprise for 1 year with no roll-off. Business and Enterprise users can export analytics results to CSV at any time directly from the analytics page. Enterprise customers can set up automated data export pipelines through our REST API and outbound webhooks. All historical data remains accessible while your current plan's retention window covers it.
Security is a core priority. All data is encrypted in transit (256-bit TLS) and at rest (AES-256 encryption). Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. We never sell or share your data with third parties, and you maintain complete ownership of all experiment data and visitor information. We are GDPR and CCPA compliant; you can request export or deletion of your data at any time. Our infrastructure uses redundant cloud providers with automatic backups and failover. Payments are processed by Stripe and are fully PCI compliant; we never store card data. Projects represent individual websites or applications where you want to run experiments. Think of a project as a container for a specific digital property - it could be your main website, mobile app, or subdomain. Each project gets its own unique API key and tracking setup. Experiments are the actual A/B tests you run within a project. For example, you might have one project for 'E-commerce Store' with multiple experiments like 'Checkout Button Color Test', 'Pricing Page Layout Test', and 'Homepage Hero Test' running simultaneously. Your plan limits determine how many projects you can create (number of distinct properties) and how many experiments you can run at the same time across all projects.
Because Segmently includes a Free tier, you can fully test the platform before purchasing. For that reason, we do not provide refunds on paid subscriptions. You can cancel anytime, and your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period, then it will not renew. Enterprise agreements follow their custom contract terms.
Experiment scheduling (available on Business and above) lets you set a specific start date and end date for an experiment directly in the wizard Advanced tab. On the start date, the experiment automatically activates and begins bucketing visitors. On the end date, or when a configurable statistical significance threshold is reached, it pauses automatically. This removes the need to manually log in to start and stop tests, which is especially useful for time-sensitive promotions, seasonal campaigns, or teams spread across time zones.
Integration availability scales with your plan. Free has no third-party integrations. Professional and Business add Slack notifications; your team gets a message when a result becomes statistically significant. Enterprise unlocks full third-party integrations: Google Analytics 4 client-side event sync, Mixpanel event sync, outgoing webhooks to any endpoint, custom webhook configurations, and dedicated integration engineering support (20 hours included) with additional hours available at an hourly rate. All integrations are configured per-experiment in the Integrations tab of the experiment wizard.
Analytics depth increases with each tier. Free gives you basic totals: total visitors and overall conversion rate so you can see which variant is winning. Professional adds full per-variant analytics including statistical significance, confidence intervals, conversion rates, and time-on-page, everything you need to make a confident decision. Business adds advanced analytics including revenue tracking per variant and CSV export of summarized results. Enterprise includes all of the above with up to 1 year of data retention and the ability to pipe data to your own systems via the REST API or outbound webhooks.
Segmently's JavaScript snippet integrates easily into any web-based platform, including single-page applications (React, Vue, Angular, Next.js), traditional multi-page sites, and e-commerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento). The visual editor works for all web platforms. You can run experiments that target specific URLs, device types, or visitor attributes on any website that can load a script tag. Native mobile SDK support (iOS/Android) is on our product roadmap for a future release.
